New View

Yesterday L’s parents left after a week visit to Nicaragua. Now both of our parents have been here to see our house, the Embassy, and a little bit of the country where we’ve lived for the last 10 months. I think we wore ourselves out with all the day trips. Granada, Leon, the Masaya Volcano – we hit all the major sights within driving distance of Managua. While L and I had to return to work for the last few days, our visitors were able to relax at the beach and even take a half-day sailboat ride. But the great thing about having guests is that you often do things you wouldn’t normally do. Like in Leon – we’ve been there before, but never made it to the top of the Cathedral, which was a definite highlight of the visit. Here area few shots from our visit to Leon’s Cathedral.
