DJ Macaw

September 14th and 15th are holidays in Nicaragua for the Fiestas Patrias, or Independence Day.  With much of the city center shut down for the parades, we headed out of town to Granada with another couple. We took a boat ride around a few of the 300 islands in Lake Nicaragua, and stopped at one island that was only big enough for a small bar/restaurant. There we found a pretty hip Macaw, bouncing to the music. I don’t think I’d get into a reggaeton dance-off with this parrot.
