    Are visas the only thing you’re missing? That’s the only crucial thing I see missing from that list….

      Believe it or not, Nicaragua is one of those countries that doesn’t require visas beforehand – even diplomatic visas! – for US folks. You pretty much just show up with your diplomat passport and submit the paperwork later. We were skeptical at first, but after checking with several people at the Embassy it looks like that’s how they do things. I think this might be indicative of how things operate there? We’ll see. The main thing missing on this list is for my husband to pass his Spanish test! Oh, yes, and the fun of pack out. We still have about 6 weeks until we’re off!
