Everyone go take a cold (3 minute) shower
- The political knots in Honduras seem to finally be loosening with an agreement in sight, thanks to the involvement of the OAS, the President of Costa Rica, and US diplomats.
- Nicaraguans protested outside the US Embassy in response to comments made by the Ambassador, saying he was meddling in the country’s internal affairs. The Ambassador said the Supreme Court’s decision last week allowing re-election was made in secret and lacked public debate.
- Chavez encouraged Venezuelan citizens to take 3 minute showers. Apparently the water and electricity shortage is due to the many pools and compulsive car-washing of the rich.
